CEO and Director
Wesley C. Hanson P.Geo., brings over 35 years of extensive mining and geological experience to the Company. Mr. Hanson’s early career focused on exploration for Archean lode gold deposits, where he was a member of the exploration teams that discovered and advanced the Shear Lake (NWT), Tartan Lake (MB), Tangiers (NS), Rosebud (US) and Brewery Creek (YT) discoveries to commercial production. With SNC-Lavalin, Mr. Hanson provided technical input on numerous global mining projects including the Dukat Silver (Russia) and Diavik Diamond (NWT) projects. As VP Technical Services for Kinross Gold and VP Mine Development for Western Goldfields, Mr. Hanson supervised technical teams rehabilitating the Refugio Mine (Chile) and the Mesquite Mine (US), as well as the expansion of gold production at the Round Mountain and Fort Knox mines (US), and the Paracatu mine (Brazil). Mr. Hanson is a graduate of Mount Allison University (B.Sc. Geology – 1982).
Mr. Hanson was the President and CEO of Noront Resources Ltd. from 2009 through 2013, tripling the mineral resource for that company and completing the pre-feasibility study for the Eagles Nest nickel/ PGM deposit. He also established multiple initiatives to engage and educate local First Nations affected by mineral exploration and development. Mr. Hanson has served as a director of Cobrizza Metals and St. Eugene Mining and is currently the Chief Operating Officer with Unigold Inc.
Joseph Meagher, CA
CFO, Corporate Secretary
Mr. Meagher holds a CPA, CA designation with a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia. Mr. Meagher currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer and a Director for several publicly listed companies. Previously, Mr. Meagher worked at Smythe Ratcliffe LLP as a manager focusing on publicly listed and private company audits, as well as staff training and development.
Peter A. Ball
Mr. Ball brings over 25 years of extensive experience and leadership as a mining professional. He is currently president and chief executive officer of Redstar Gold Corp. and a director of Bullion Gold Resources Corp. He was previously senior vice-president of Columbus Gold. Throughout Mr. Ball's career, he has held various senior management roles with international precious metals mining companies in corporate finance, securities trading, mine engineering, business development, corporate communications, public relations and marketing functions throughout North America, South America, Asia and Europe. Mr. Ball began his career in the late 1980s working as a mining engineer and subsequently in various management and senior executive roles for numerous companies, including Hudson Bay Mining & Smelting, Echo Bay Mines Ltd., RBC Dominion Securities, Eldorado Gold Corp., Adriana Resources Inc. and Argentex Mining Corp. Mr. Ball is a graduate of the Haileybury School of Mines, Georgian Business College, the University of British Columbia's Canadian Securities Course and is a member of CIMM (the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum).
Mr. Dominic Verdejo is currently President, Chief Executive Officer, Director of Bullion Gold Resources Corp. and Noka Resources Inc.. Mr. Verdejo has over six years of experience in the venture capital markets, specializing in the design and implementation of market strategies and corporate development. He has particular expertise in the mineral exploration and development sector, and has been heavily involved in the financing of many successful public companies.
